Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ACRON (operated by Mosupiemang Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Reg. BW00009762063), trading as ACRON, Palapye, Botswana) collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Botswana's Data Protection Act.
1.Information we collect
This is the full list of the data ACRON collects, declared in line with Botswana's Data Protection Act. We collect nothing outside this list.

2.How we use it
- To provide the calculator, program matching, and the features in your plan.
- To run your account, take payment, and send receipts and important notices.
- To keep ACRON safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To understand which features help students, so we can improve.
We rely on your consent and on the need to provide the service you asked for. You can withdraw consent at any time by closing your account.
3.Students under 18
Many ACRON users are Form 5 students who may be under 18. If you are under 18, please use ACRON with the permission of a parent or guardian. Paid subscriptions for under-18 students must be purchased and managed by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete their child's information.
4.Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run ACRON, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Supabase — secure database and account hosting.
- Polar — our payment provider and merchant of record, which handles card details and checkout securely.
- Resend — our email provider, to send receipts and account emails.
- AI providers (such as OpenAI and Google) — to power Abby, the Study Coach, and note or document reading. Only the message or document you submit is processed, to generate the reply you asked for.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
5.Where your data is stored
ACRON uses reputable cloud providers, some of which store data outside Botswana. Where data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with Botswana's Data Protection Act.
6.How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must keep some records (for example, payment records) by law.
7.Your rights
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your account and personal data (subject to legal record-keeping).
- Object to or limit certain uses of your data.
- Get a copy of the data you provided.
You can do the first three yourself, instantly, from inside the app: open Settings → Your data & privacy to download a full copy of your data or to delete your account. Deleting your account removes or anonymises your personal data right away; payment records are kept (anonymised) only where the law requires. For anything else, email [email protected].
8.Cookies and local storage
ACRON uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. It is essential to how the app works. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
9.Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and database-level security rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
10.Changes and contact
If we update this policy, we will change the date above and, for important changes, notify you in the app or by email. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected] or WhatsApp +267 7764 0798.
11.AI assistant tools
ACRON offers read-only tools that AI assistants such as Claude can use to work out BGCSE points and look up Botswana programmes (how to add them). They need no ACRON account. When you use them:
- What we receive: only what the assistant sends for that one question: a points total, subjects and grades, an interest word such as "nursing", or a programme id. No name, email or account. When the assistant calls ACRON from its own servers (as Claude does), we do not receive your device's address. If you connect a tool from your own device, its address is handled like any visit to our website (see the access-log point below).
- Why: to work out the points or find the matching programmes, and send the answer back. That is the only use. It is not used for marketing or to train AI.
- What we keep: nothing you sent. It is discarded once the answer goes back. We keep counts only: which tool was used, how many results it returned, which assistant channel, and the time. Our web server's standard access log also notes each request's time, web address and the address of the computer that made the call (not what was asked); it is deleted after 14 days. To prevent abuse, we also hold a scrambled form of that address in memory only, made with a secret that changes whenever our server restarts so it cannot be turned back into the address: a count of calls for one minute, and a count of that day's calls until the day ends.
- Who else is involved: the assistant you use (for example Anthropic, for Claude) handles your conversation under its own privacy policy. ACRON shares nothing from these requests with anyone.
- Your choices: the tools are optional. You can remove ACRON from your assistant's connectors at any time. Apart from the access log, which is deleted after 14 days, we keep nothing from these requests that could identify you.
