is paid.
ACRON Abroad helps Botswana families choose universities outside Botswana and apply to them. This page tells you exactly how ACRON is paid, so you can trust our advice. Published 10 October 2026.
No university pays ACRON today, and our help is free for now.
If either of these changes, we will update this page first — before we advise you.
1. No university pays ACRON today
ACRON is not a recruitment agent for any university yet. No university and no partner company pays ACRON.
Many education agents are paid a fee by universities when a student enrols. If ACRON signs such an agreement, we will:
- name every university and partner company that pays ACRON, on this page;
- tell you, before you apply, whether the university you chose pays ACRON;
- make sure that fee never comes out of your pocket or changes your tuition.
2. Our help is free for now
While we start, ACRON Abroad help is free. We help you build a shortlist that matches your results, complete applications, prepare your documents, and keep track of each deadline.
If we ever charge a fee, we will publish the amount here first, and these rules will apply:
- Refunds: a full refund until we send your first application.
- Payment: only by bank transfer or mobile money to ACRON's business account — never into a personal account.
You always pay application fees, tuition, deposits, visa fees, health cover and flights directly to the university, the embassy or the airline — never through ACRON.
3. We always show you the free routes too
Some of the best routes would never pay ACRON anything. We show them anyway:
- 8 US universities that admit international students without looking at money and cover full need: Amherst, Bowdoin, Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard, MIT, Princeton and Yale (USA guide).
- Stipendium Hungaricum — Botswana is a partner country (Europe guide).
- The Chinese Government Scholarship (China guide).
- German public universities — mostly free, with a small semester fee.
- DTEF sponsorship (tef.gov.bw) and EducationUSA's free advice.
We never rank universities by what they might pay ACRON.
4. What ACRON will never do
- Promise an admission, a scholarship or a visa. Only the university, the funder or the embassy decides.
- Give paid visa advice for Canada or Australia. For Canada we refer you to a licensed consultant (an RCIC, listed at college-ic.ca). For Australia we refer you to a registered migration agent (mara.gov.au).
- Send a student's documents to another country without written consent. A parent signs too if the student is under 18.
- Ask you to pay money into a personal account.
