About this programme
The seven-year Doctorate of Medicine is UCAD flagship health degree, opening with a two-year common core (PCEM) shared with dental surgery before clinical rotations across the teaching hospitals of Dakar. It leads to the thèse d exercice required for entry on the Ordre des Médecins register and the legal practice of medicine in Senegal. Graduates may then pursue specialisation through the Diplôme d Études Spécialisées.
Admission is by national competitive entrance exam (concours). Meeting the academic requirement below does not by itself secure a place.
