Trains students in livestock nutrition, breeding, health, and pastoral production systems adapted to the Borana rangeland and dryland agropastoral zones of southern Ethiopia. The College of Pastoral Studies and Dryland Agriculture is the flagship unit reflecting the university's national mandate on pastoralism and range ecology. Graduates work with pastoral communities, government livestock agencies, and development organisations.
